Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in consultation with healthcare team members.
- Administer prescribed medications and ensure patient safety through meticulous monitoring.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior nursing staff and students.
- Engage with patients and families, offering education and emotional support to enhance their healthcare experience.
- Monitor and report changes in patient condition to medical staff promptly.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using electronic health systems.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and compliance with established standards of practice.
- Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and resource utilization.
- Actively participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA).
- Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role.
- Strong clinical skills in patient assessment and care planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic clinical environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proof of full vaccination against COVID-19 as required by healthcare regulations.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a specialized nursing field, such as Intensive Care, Emergency, or Oncology.
- Postgraduate qualifications in nursing or healthcare management.
- Familiarity with the latest healthcare technologies and electronic health records systems.
- Involvement in research or quality improvement projects.
