Job filters on the Risenoow job board

The Risenoow job board has two sets of filters: a row of quick filters under the search bar, and a Refine results panel beside the results. Use them to narrow a long list to the roles that fit your pay, hours, location and right to work.

Where: Find a job in the top menu, under the search bar and beside the results

Who can use it: Anyone, no account needed

Time needed: Under a minute

A Risenoow job card for Platform Engineer showing its employment type, job function and annual salary range, the facts the job filters work on
Filters work on the facts each employer states: type, function, pay, work arrangement and work rights.

Each quick filter opens a small panel. Make your choice, then select Apply. Only one panel is open at a time, and a filter in use shows a dot or a count beside its name.

Filter What you can choose
Pay Annually, Monthly or Hourly, then a From and a To amount. Leave either as Any. Clear removes the pay range.
Type Internship, Contract, Temporary, Casual, Part-time and Full-time. Tick as many as you like.
Remote On site, Hybrid and Remote.
Work rights Any valid work rights, Citizens and permanent residents only, Visa sponsorship available and Student visa holders welcome.
Listing time Any time, Today, Last 3 days, Last 7 days, Last 14 days or Last 30 days.

How the pay filter works

Pay is compared on one scale, so a role advertised per hour and a role advertised per year can be filtered together. Pick the period you think in, then type your amounts. A role matches when any part of its advertised range falls inside yours.

Before you set a pay range

Roles that do not state pay are hidden while a pay range is set. Roles whose employer keeps pay private are hidden too. Remove the pay range to see them again.

How the work rights filter works

The work rights filter shows only roles whose employer stated their position. Roles that have not stated it are hidden while this filter is set.

The Refine results panel

The panel beside the results is headed Filter workspace. It holds the same filters as the quick bar plus three more, each with a count of matching roles.

Section What it filters
Company The employers with open roles.
Job function The area of work, such as Design or Engineering. The Job function list in the search bar uses the same values.
Industry The industry of the hiring company.
Employment type The same choices as Type.
Work arrangement The same choices as Remote.
Work rights The same choices as the quick filter.
Listing time Any time, Today, Last three days, Last seven days, Last fourteen days and Last thirty days.

A section only appears when at least one open role has a value for it.

  1. Tick the boxes you want in one or more sections.
  2. Select Apply filters at the bottom of the panel.
  3. To start again, select Reset all at the top of the panel.

What the counts mean

Each number says how many roles that option would return with your other filters still in force. That way no choice leads you to an empty list.

Sort and view the results

  • Sort by offers Newest first, Oldest first, Title A-Z and Recently updated. The list reorders as soon as you choose.
  • The two buttons beside it switch between a grid of cards and a list.

See and remove filters in use

Above the results, a Showing: line lists every filter in force, such as your keyword, a job function or "Pay range set". Select the cross on any of them to remove only that one, or Clear all to remove them all.

If nothing matches, you see No matching roles. Try a broader keyword or another place, remove a filter, or select Show all jobs.

Good to know

Roles published elsewhere only follow your keyword and location. As soon as you use any other filter, they leave the list, because their pages do not carry those facts.

Every search and filter is part of the page address, so you can bookmark a search or share it with someone.

Frequently asked questions

Why did some roles disappear when I set a pay range on Risenoow?

The pay filter hides roles that do not state pay, and roles whose employer keeps pay private. Clear the pay range to see every role again.

Can I filter for remote jobs only?

Yes. Open Remote under the search bar, tick Remote, then select Apply. Tick Hybrid as well if you are open to some office days.

How do I find roles that offer visa sponsorship?

Open Work rights, tick Visa sponsorship available, then select Apply. Roles that have not stated their work rights position are hidden while this filter is on.

How do I clear all my filters?

Select Clear all on the Showing: line, or Reset all at the top of the filter panel.
